Written Instruction for Sheru Knitting’s Large 3-D Flower

dd9b4b0a80eff28fc65a7f105431f022_XLI love SheruKnitting.com; they make the most beautiful crochet!  Unfortunately I am not very good with videos.  I really need a written pattern.  I have tried here to write down the instructions for the ‘large 3d flower‘.  This has not been tested yet, so I hope it works okay.  I suggest you follow the video first.

PUFF STITCH:  ch 3.  working OVER the chain 3, (y/o, pull up loop from under the chain 3) 7 times, y/o and pull through all the loops, ch 1 to complete.

ROUND 1

  • ch 5, join in a ring with ss
  • ch 1, sc in ring.  on top of sc, make puff stitch
  • *sc 2 into ring
  • work puff on top of 2nd ring
  • repeat from * 2 more times
  • sc into ring, ss into 1st sc
  • 4 puff stitches and 8 sc in 1st round

ROUND 2

  • ch 1,
  • *sc into last sc of previous round
  • make puff stitch, ss into sc
  • sc into next sc of previous round
  • make puff stitch into sc
  • repeat from * 6 more times
  • ss into 1st sc
  • 8 puff stitches and 8 sc in 2nd round

ROUND 3

  • ch 6, sc into next sc of previous round
  • *ch 5, sc into next sc
  • repeat from * 6 times (7 ch 5 spaces)
  • to close the ring, ch 2, dc into 1st ch of round.
  • 8 ch 5 spaces, 8 sc

ROUND 4

  • ch 10, dc into ch 5 space
  • *ch 7 dc into next ch 5 space
  • repeat from * 6 times (7 ch 7 spaces)
  • ss into 3rd chain of the first 10 chains to close ring
  • (8 ch 7 spaces, 8 dc)

ROUND 5

  • ch 1, *sc 9 into the ch 7 space, sc into dc
  • repeat from * 7 times
  • ss into 1st chain
  • (80 sc)

ROUND 6

FIRST PETAL

  • turn to back, ss into next 4 stitches
  • turn to the front, ch 8, skip 1st stitch
  • in front loops: qt, qt, tt, tt, dt, dt, dc, hdc, sc, ss over the next 10 stitches
  • turn to back
  • ch 1, skip 1st stitch, sc in each of 10 stitches, sc 3 times in ch
  • turning slightly to the side, sc 8 times under the first ch 8, ss
  • turn to front
  • ch 3, skip ss, sc into sc of previous row
  • ch 3, skip 1 sc, sc into next, around the petal
  • sc last two together
  • turn work to back, repeat for next 7 petals

  1. I’m going to try and make this now. Thank you so much for the written pattern. I’ve saved a lot of her patterns on you tube thinking I’ll sit down and write them out sometime but never do. She does awesome work.
